PERF-TRACK: Tracking Framework Performance at Scale with Houssein Djirdeh

July 24, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm EDT

Perf Track is a project that aims to track and measure the performance of sites that use popular JavaScript frameworks and libraries. It is not an exercise to compare the performance of frameworks against each other.

It was built to provide trends and insight to both framework authors and developers. If common success or failure patterns can be found across many sites, we can work together to improve the underlying framework and tooling that sites use to make the web better.

Joining us to discuss the tool is its author, a friend of the Toronto Web Performance Group, Houssein Djirdeh of Google’s Web Vitals Dev Rel team.

This will likely be a late morning/early lunch hour EDT meetup (will confirm the exact time later), so that we may also accommodate friends from across the pond in EU, as well PDT. As a pre announcement, more details are to come.

This will be an online event, and the link will be provided shortly.
