What is a DataNight?

It’s when Data For Good calls upon Toronto’s data philanthropists to listen to registered charities and non-government agencies’ organizational mission surrounding data. We then pool our knowledge to help them realize these goals.

We’re looking for data scientists, analysts, researchers, anthropologists, and informed citizens of Toronto who will listen can listen to the issues our non-profit stakeholders would like to solve.

So this night is about vision. We want individuals with an impactful perspective, even if you have minimal data experience! You’re going to meet and work with some amazing people in our city.

This time we’ll be focusing on finding relevant open-source data, important donor demographics, long-term metrics to focus, potential data collection ideas, and how to better approach storytelling.

Nellie’s can then prioritize which efforts they want to pursue and a future DFG Datathon could born from your ideas!
