We’ll be asking Sarah her experiences on maintaining work/life balance, cultivating professional relationships and joining a new team in the virtual workplace. As Chief Actuary at Northbridge, Sarah oversees data science and analytics, business intelligence, data governance, pricing, reserving and catastrophe exposure management.

Sarah has over 15 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry spanning pricing, reserving, underwriting, risk management and capital roles. Previously, Sarah served as Chief Actuary for Aviva Canada. Prior to this position, Sarah served in senior management and actuarial positions at Aviva and RBC Insurance and started her career as an actuarial analyst at Allstate.

Sarah has a degree in mathematics with a major in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo. She is a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys staying active through exercise and getting outside, trying new wines and has been actively trying to bake the perfect baguette from scratch during lockdown.
