[ONLINE] DFG Fireside Chat: Josh Starmer

April 21, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

Josh Starmer is a passionate teacher who started as a genetics researcher at UNC-Chapel Hill in North Carolina. Today, he makes YouTube content entirely dedicated to explaining Statistics and Machine Learning concepts. His channel, StatQuest, focuses on breaking down complex topics into small, bite-sized pieces that are easy to understand. Browse his channel and think about subscribing!

At this event, we talk about one such complex topic: Unsupervised Learning Algorithms.

We hope our audience can take away some concepts from this event and apply it in future Data For Good Toronto DataThons!

If you are curious to know more about our guest, check out Josh’s Youtube channel (youtube.com/user/joshstarmer/) or his personal website: BAM! (https://statquest.org/)

This fireside chat will be uploaded to YouTube and part of our Quarterly newsletter. If you buy a ticket, we’ll send you the recording to view at your own pleasure.
