David Mandel – Managing Partner at Emerging Ventures
Prior to his current career in venture capital, Mr. Mandel built, operated and exited 4 different successful businesses in the Insurance and Finance industries over a 28-year period; including growing Alliance United Insurance Company to over $450MM in annual premium and over 500 employees, before selling to Kemper Corp (KMPR) in 2015.
In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Mandel is also a life-long investor, and technology enthusiast. He invested in over 500 early-stage startups to-date, and is now generally regarded as a thought-leader in the field.
