We are actively looking to hire a Director, Claims Transformation to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President, Claims, you will be accountable for reviewing, recommending and implementing changes to key business processes, which are anticipated to be heavily enabled through technology advancements. The successful incumbent will be able to leverage their leadership and critical thinking experience to lead transformative initiatives within Claims. These initiatives have a key focus on technology, process and workflow improvements and enhancements that will improve our customer experience while delivering efficient and effective claims processes.

Specific Accountabilities :
Define objectives, initiative prioritization, measures and benefits management associated with Claims Transformation in alignment with Claims strategic vision

As part of the Claims Senior Leadership Team, consult, influence and strategize on Claims initiatives

Develop and oversee implementation and maintenance of a 3-year Roadmap with a holistic future focused approach

Partner closely with IT, Data Analytics and other stakeholders to develop solutions through technology enablement that drive value to Allstate Canada in the form of increased customer satisfaction or efficiency gains or loss cost management.

Provide support and guidance to a small team of Claims Product Owners through all stages of implementation, including managing product backlogs, driving adoption with change management practices, and tracking benefits

Deliver high business value through the products that support organizational initiatives

Lead collaboration across senior stakeholder groups within other departments in order to influence direction and drive alignment including communication and feedback loops

Achieve operational excellence in the production and delivery of customer-focused products and services

Develop strategy and tactics that deliver business results and implementation of processes and procedures to enhance the claims experience

Redesign processes and practices of strategic business importance holistically in order to identify inefficiencies and/or areas of opportunity

Qualifications and Experience :
Post-secondary education in a related field

8 – 10 years’ experience working on technology enablement initiatives with a minimum 5+ years experience developing, coaching and leading project teams

Experience working in the Lean or Agile methodologies considered an asset

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to coach and develop talent

Excellent planning, organizational change management and analytical skills

Proven ability to think strategically and be creative; willingness to take initiative and risks as needed

Able to operate as a change agent, sell ideas and clearly articulate rationale, ability to influence and negotiate to ensure priorities are met

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present information in an organized, logical and effective manner to a wide variety of audiences

Ability to lead and partner across functional lines

Ability to adjust to new or changing requirements and environments

Exceptional skills at building relationships, collaborating with others and providing a supportive environment where challenging opinions and questions are welcome.

Previous Claims experience and/or knowledge of Claim department operations is an asset
