We are delighted to announce that Javier Ideami, the creator of Loss Landscape and founder of Ideami, will showcase visualizations of loss surfaces and cost contours in training of deep learning models.

Javier is an award-winning creative director, engineer, researcher, artist and entrepreneur whose creative ventures have taken him from the jungles of Bali to Silicon Valley, including Stanford University and UC Berkeley, the United Nations FAO HQ, the financial center of London, the International Cultural Diplomacy Conference in Berlin amongst many others.

Biography: Javier is a world-renowned digital artist and multimedia creator. It is his passion to blend the research and technical side of A.I. with the creative arts in order to produce high quality visualizations of deep learning optimization processes that can both inspire and help trigger new insights.

He is the creative force behind Loss Landscape – which is a critically-acclaimed project that brings a sense of beauty to A.I., by combining rigorous research with very high resolution and quality visualizations that can bring new light and perspective onto some of the mysteries of deep learning training processes.
